I drove mine back from carlisle to NYC a few moments ago. Cruised all the way at 65 mph @2800rpm's. Sweet

The amp guage was acting a little hinky right when I started it. It seemed to go a little too high on the charge side and actually fluctuated like a tach for a few. I checked the battery voltage with the car off at 12.93v. It was too late last night to let it run longer than a minute.That is how the old voltage regulators work. After you start the car, the voltage regulator will go to full charge for a little bit, the calm down. But the calm is bouncing the needle because the contacts are toggling. If it drives you nuts, jut change to a solid state one. But it is perfectly normal.
Like I said I drove it today and the guage went to the middle and moved just a little both ways all day. I'm a happy camper!!
