These are the rods I'm using, they are Molnar 7.10 inch long with a 2.20 rod journal. Bought them from a guy who had to go to a shorter rod, saved $150

I got my daughter out in the garage to help get the block ready, she knocked out the freeze plugs, removed the oil galley plugs then she knocked out the old cam bearings with her grandpas old cam bearing tool. I took the block down to the machine shop to get the cylinder walls sonic checked.

Another upgrade I'll be doing is installing a Dana 60.I had this housing narrowed, it has a spool and 4.56:1 gears in it. I just got my Moser 35 spline axles too. The axles have a 1994-2004 Mustang flange so I can run M ustang disc brakes and I'll still have a parking brake.

I can't comment on your rear end, I might want to get into politics someday.

I'm hoping to make some serious power with this motor so I wanted to use a block girdle on this build. I'm going with this BCR girdle kit that uses billet aluminum main caps. I also got their billet seal retainer. Read up on why this setup the best out there - http://www.bcrproducts.com/caps_and_girdle_system.html
