Yes going EFI. going carb and non OD trans would seem dumb. Getting a carb intake is nearly impossible unless you want a single plane which are meant for EFI anyway.

That’s something I have researched a little bit. I believe magnum and hemi have different pressures for the injectors. Holley sells a bolt in pump for a ridiculous price of about $450

Check Tanks Inc. They may have a tank/pump combo already setup for that.. Just need a external regulator to drop it to whatever the 5.7 wants

If the Dakota was a TBI setup then it's definetely lower. Give the guys at Tanks Inc a call and see if they got anything that will work.
I had to use one of their weld in recesses and a in tank pump on my car cause they didn't make them for 66/7 yet. (Not sure if you got plastic tank or not, might be an option).

It’s a 96 so it wasn’t TBI, was a 3.9 and plastic tank. I’ll call them when the time comes. Thanks!
