Lower Ball Joint Replacement - Piper - 09-20-23

Is it a good idea to take some preload off of the torsion bars before trying to separate the lowers?

I just went thru that.. so clogged with lime they wouldn't heat the water. Just make sure to open a hot water faucet when you open the drain on the tank, that'll help it drain faster. If nothing comes out the hose and you got a compressor, blow some air back in the hose, it's probably clogged with lime deposits and that'll keep it from draining.

No need if the LCA is supported with a jack. If not, in for a rude awakening when it seperates.
