My 69 RT is dated 02 Jan 1969. I have. Read that they didn't stamp vin numbers until 1969. Is that true? Since my car is very early 69 I think my drivetrain is all 68. Did they do vin numbers in 68? I'm trying so I determine if it's the original gearbox. Thanks for the confirmation on the gearbox guys

my trans is out of a 68 RR and it's got the VIN stamped on it.
