Hello John,
If your 67 Coronet has the two speed windshield wiper motor, then you need Chrysler part number 2820 525 (aka 2820525) for the switch. This same switch was also used on the 1967 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body models equipped with the 2 speed wiper motor.
if your car has the variable speed windshield wiper motor, then you need Chrysler part number 2770 378 (aka 2770378) for the switch. This same switch was also used on the 1967 Dodge and Plymouth A-Body models equipped with the variable speed wiper motor.
If you purchased an original Chrysler wiper switch either nos or used, one of the two part numbers mentioned above will be located on the switch so that you can verify what you have. If you find a different 7 digit Chrysler part number on your switch, please let me know what that part number is and I'll see if I can verify what you have ok?
If it's an aftermarket switch without a factory Chrysler 7 digit part number on it, then you might want to verify with the company or person you purchased it from to verify if it's the correct switch for your particular car.
Unfortunately, you will need to remove the switch from the car to verify the factory part number if it's an original Chrysler switch. If it's an aftermarket switch and you have a sales receipt with a manufactures part number, then you can contact the seller as mentioned and go from there.
On a side note, you might also want to double check all of your electrical connections in the wiper system to make sure you don't have an issue there as well to verify that your issue is with the switch and not something else in the wiper system. Aren't old cars fun?

Very good John, please post that part number here on this thread and I'll check it out for you if it's different than the two part numbers posted above. Hopefully the used replacement switch that you purchased from the member here on the DCR is the same part number as the original switch that you replaced. Did you double check the part number on the original switch to the replacement switch before you installed it? If not, you might still need to remove the replacement switch so that we can verify it's part number.

Ok, so I checked the part and it is 2820525 which suggests the 2 speed switch. The number however is then follwed by 23199 so not sure what that dictates?
I`m sure I bought what was advertised as a 2 speed switch but am loathed to take it out again as it`s a real pita lol
