Picked up another Mopar - Piper - 01-06-13 Got this '68 Charger from my friend Nick (Mopedope) Something to tinker on while I am in between doing work on the Coronet. Its a 318/727 (shes tired) I have a 440 almost ready to drop in, she needs some body work but AMD makes just about every piece of steel for her I have since dropped the rear end back down (someone had put helpers on her) 24252627 Picked up another Mopar - 67r/t4speeder - 01-06-13 What a score, I do miss my `68 B5 318 Charger I traveled all over the US in it. That red with black top sure looks good. Good to see you dropped it back down where it should be. NICE CAR! I once travelled over 150 MPH in a friends' '68 440 R/T and the front end was lifting so much he could hardly control the steering! We had pumped in aviation gas, something like 115/120 octane and the exhaust manifolds were glowing red when we stopped to check the engine out after that high speed burst. You best put some bigger brakes and suspensoin parts on this beast, you're going to need that! You know I haven't and that might be really helpful. Knowing the Coronets pretty well I look at the Charger and think "oh this is different" Picked up another Mopar - thebankerstoy - 01-07-13 Piper Wrote:You know I haven't and that might be really helpful. Knowing the Coronets pretty well I look at the Charger and think "oh this is different" Hi Piper, Mechanically they are all pretty much the same, but body and interior wise, they are totally different animals! I've owned both 66 and 67 Coronet's and the 70 Charger R/T, so I've "been there, done that"!
