about 6:20am this morning I looked out my window and saw this black bear- [Image: may2113024_zpsae5e8427.jpg] poor pic taken through my dirty window
Cool, it looks like it's checking out your bird feeder. Did it hang out long?
ya, my wife filled it yesterday, he hung around for about 5 minutes. I see them all the time here, had 3 close encounters with them over the past year, twice within 10ft and once within 5ft. back in October I heard some noise outside the garage(I was inside) and when I opened the door the bear was right there on the other side of the door. Wow did he run away fast. I was a little surprised too. I also see a pair of red fox, a fisher, deer and the other common animals of the area. have a motion light and when I comes on I see many animals I never knew were around. i`m expecting to see bigfoot someday.
Sounds like we have similar type woods near by, not many bear but lots of wildlife. I came up on a bear while riding once and we had a staring contest for a bit then he moved on since the bike scared him. I wanted to get my camera out of my pack, but didnt want to make any moves he wasn't happy with so I let it be. LOL
Get a game cam, they take pictures in the dark and will catch anything that goes by, including human intruders.

thats awesome .Looks like a baby bear and that bird seed wasnt gonna feed him at all!
We've got a small woods right behind me and we see a little bit of everything, at dusk, we have flying squrrils, they come "sailing" in from the woods!!
Get yourself a bear banger launcher, the concussion from that thing will scare that bear away so fast his skeleton will leave his body faster than his flesh does, just like on a cartoon! Ask me why I know.....unless you don't mind having him around?
