The user name is just me. I am a 1965 Coronet 440 owner for the last few years. Drag race it occasionally under the name "Grandpa's Rockin Chair" thanks to my grandkids. The car is undergoing a change by dropping in a crate hemi from Dodge (p5249666ae) TTI headers and a custom built power glide from Sullivan Motorsports. Other than the cage, mini tubbing and Caltrac system I have kept her stock appearing including the bench seat with original upholstery front and rear.
I am however leaning toward a hood change and have been looking for a fiberglass hood. But as of yet I have not found any that do not look like a six pack hood. Any ideas?
thanks
Jay
Welcome Jay, glad to have you here with us.
Hint: we like pics
Have you checked Kramers Auto in PA?
Thanks! Kramer will be checked on tonight.
As for pics I am a computer illiterate dinosaur. I will email some if anyone wants to see or post them.
Thanks
Jay
15601561Welcome to this site! I think your best hood scoop would be the one installed on the S/S cars. Those low profile units, they look SO SHARP on your type car. Here are 2 pictures...These are available from a couple vendors but someone else on this site should be able to pin point whom and where, I just have the information readily at hand. I do realize you are looking for a complete fiberglass hood but a scoop like the one in the pictures attached to a fiberglass hood would be awesome! You are from Dallas I see, I heard from my neighbor who just got back from visiting relatives in Dallas that it is quite hot there right now? I have to get to see your city one day. Again, welcome to the site from a fellow dinosaur. If you want help learning how to post pictures on this site please feel totally free asking for help, this is a friendly place with tons of help available!!!
We have a bunch of dinosaurs here, me being one of them.
The pic you posted of the super stock hood is what I have on the car. I was just hoping someone made one in fiberglass.
Welcome from another computer dinosaur.
Hi and Welcome to the site Jay. With that last name you have it seem like you are an Swedish descendant .
Welcome to the DCR, Jay!!
