Ahhh ok! I thoguht you already had your car painted in this silver!

ws27 Wrote:I might be able to do one better, let me call the body guy. He had a paint rep come down to scan the actual paint. Maybe you can use those numbers. I have to call him anyway, he is supposed to start on it soon.
I did, but some idiot parked the shell right under a 3/8" thick piece of wire saftey glass that the same idiot didn't install very securely. Then I, er ah, the same idiot noticed the glass missing after a big winter wind storm and found the hood broke the fall and the glass. I , ah, the idiot was not too happy with him self after that. The hood needs a repair. Very small, but right on the trailing edge.

Here are a couple of pictures of the car:

Red interior really makes it, Rich!!!
hahah damn! that sucks! Well, I hope you end up fixing it soon. Looks great! Much less metal flake than I imagined. It's almost more of a grey than a silver huh?

Where did you end up getting the references from in order to finally decide on this silver? Did you have an original part or something to scan?

We used the original Mopar numbers and crossed it over. They guy who actually crossed it has a paint store just for automotive paint. I think it really is close. When you get up close there is a plenty of metal flake. Small flakes though, not bass boat sized flakes.
