Hello everyone, I had a question on steering couplers, if anyone has changed theres that can help? I took my steering box to Napa to have it rebuilt because of way to much play and in the process decided to change the warned out column seal and tweeked retainer for my steering coupler. My column doesnt have any play in it and all other parts seem good, im just doing this because of the column seal is all twisted and the retainer is tweeked too. There is 2 options in getting a column seal and retainer. Option 1 is column seal and retainer. Option 2 is column seal, retainer and more with rebuild kit. I have seen these for sale on Ebay and other Mopar parts stores online. The question I have is, if anyone here has rebuilt theres why is just the column seal and retainer more expensive then the entire rebuild kit that comes with all of the above and more? SPECIFICALLY Im wondering if the retainer or column seal is of a better quality then what comes with the rebuild kit? Any help would be appreciated, I have enclosed acouple links of what im talking about. Thanks alot!

Don't know any difference on the seal, just buy what you need.
Yea... Does anyone know what that smaller pin on the rebuild kit is for? I never saw that when I pulled mine off.
The little pin presses in outer casing to keep it together when removing the column
hmmm... I never saw that, maybe its in the coupler with all that grease.
There is a pin that holds the two semi square pieces together. If yours has no play, just get the seal.
Im just going to order the seal and retainer. My guess is that its a better seal and prob. a better retainer too. I wanted to make sure I wasnt missing that tiny pin. There is the 2 pins... 1 that is thru the end of the steering shaft that holds the metal squares in place under the coupler and the other that holds the coupler in place with the steering box shaft. The pin in the kit in that pic. seems much smaller then either of those 2.
