While exploring the local junkyards friday I found the idler pulley bracket I've been trying to find for 3 1/2 years, and it only cost $7.50. It was in the very last dodge in the junkyard, 4 rows of vehicle's and they all had a/c unit's on them. I almost walked past it without looking at it. Took a quick glance, and there it was! I could hear the angel's singing!! So today I'm going to put it on, goodbye to 30 plus pounds, no more dead weight just so the belts would still work.

SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's really funny how things change in a car guy's life over the years. When we're younger, we can't wait to strip off all of the "don't make me go faster" options off of our cars and then as we get older, we can't wait to put all of those very same options back on our cars!
Seriously though, I'm really happy to hear that you've found that idler pulley bracket that you've been looking for. Trust me, I've "been there, done that" several times over the past 40 plus years! I'm STILL thanking Rich for selling me a beautiful n.o.s. drivers side defroster duct nozzle for my 66 Coronet 500 that I had been looking for since 1989!

Uh oh, I guess I'm at the beginning stages of Richarditis because I went out of the way to build a 4 spd RT with AC.
God help me now...

Actually Rich, it's not all that bad......you get to meet new people every single day because you won't remember meeting them the day before and I've also found that wearing my old name tag from the bank upside down so that I can read it comes in VERY handy!
Maybe you will want to start joining me, Steve (Racer Brown) and the rest of the guy's at our next monthly get together? We have LOTS of fun trying to remember what we use to do when we were younger and you simply haven't lived until you've chugged down some of our homemade spiked Pepto Bismol my friend!
Richard
I spike my pepto with metamucil, never to young to start. Although sometimes it's a little clumpy and gets stuck in my throat, Dad said to wash it down with some prune juice. I don't quite trust the smirk on his face!!
I wish you would quit putting up my pic of me and the boys, Richard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Air Conditioning ?? for a car ??? whats that ?? ...lol lol never get to use it up here in the Great White North ....lol
Don't need it in this part of Washington either!
I could say the very same thing about using automotive heating and defrosting systems here in Phoenix and yet I've spent the past 24 years trying to get parts for those systems reproduced. for the 66 and 67 B-Body cars........go figure.
