Question for the group, hardened seats are they only needed on the exhaust or both?
Both. You're in there, might as well do both. Intake wear at roughly 1/2 the rate of exhaust.
the machinist quoted me $40 per seat...I don't know if that sounds right
yea.. it's about right. Last time I checked at getting it done on a set of 906's, it was $800 just to clean em and put hardened seats in. That didn't count any guide work needed...
He quoted 250 for the valve job which is good

the seats though...ouch!
