So im confused. When I look on rock auto they show Front Inner; Incl. powdered-metal gusher bearing to allow grease to penetrate bearing surfaces and Front Outer; Incl. powdered-metal gusher bearing to allow grease to penetrate bearing surfaces

So do i need both of these for each side? Or is one of these for the driver side, and one for the passenger side?

Do I need to also purchase a tie rod adjusting sleeve as well? What about the pitman arm assembly?

Right now im just looking to replace the passenger side, I think id like to go ahead and rebuild the whole side when I do it as they are pretty old.
Looking on rockauto each side is 35 bucks for the moog brand. When I call orielys its 65 for each side? Why such a big difference in the price?
You only need to replace what is bad. Each side (pass and drivers) have both an inner and out. The outer is directly attached to the steering knuckle, and the inner is directly attached to the center link. As I stated before (not trying to be a smart ass) you could get both an inner, outer and sleeve and change the whole assembly. It could be easier than separating the sleeve. But to save money, I wouldn't hesitate to change just what you need.

Find a diagram to see exactly what the parts are called.
WS, thanks for the info. The outer is whats bad, but honestly they are so old and look pretty rough I think im going to go ahead and replace them both. Since im doing this should I also go ahead and replace the

You can re-use the sleeve IF it is not too badly corroded otherwise yes, get new sleeves. You will need an alignment afterwards. Also while you're under the car, grease the ball joints and look for cracked or split grease boots and replace them if need be but you will need a ball joint removal tool you can usually borrow from an auto parts store. If you had the money, I would replace the whole darned front suspension and steering with a front end 'kit' from several different suppliers. I did this to a Dart I used to own and I bought the hard rubber poly kit and Wow what a difference in handling!
Going to be ordering the new one today and just wanted to confirm I understand correctly. The rod closest to the tire is considered the outer rod right?
Yup.. that is correct..

Piece of advice.. look at the tie rod sleeve. you'll see a slit in it. Spray WD-40, PB Blaster (my favorite) in there on the exposed threads a day or so before you tackle the job. It'll make removing the outer tie rod much easier.

It should come with dust boot, grease fitting, new castle nut and cotter pin
