How did the scarebird kit fit?
Did you remove hood center trim if it had any?
Keep those updates coming for us to enjoy
And congrats on firing the engine, that is always a happy day for sure .
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback
The Scarebird kit was great!! Very easy to install. The only thing I could say is that the kit came with a list of parts needed. I shopped around and the brake rotors were cheaper at autozone, so I bought them there. But when installing them they did not clear the hubs. I brought the hubs down to napa and their rotor fit over perfectly. So I bought rotors there and returned other ones. That what I get for trying to save a couple bucks....
I did remove the ram on the hood. My car was originally a 6 cylinder. And since it now has a V8 I wanted to used the Hemi V8 hood emblem. I like the look better
Thanks again for positive feedback and I will keep posting....
I have used the Scarebird kit on my '49. In researching the kit, I learned that Scarebird did all of their mockups with NAPA parts.
Mirage... Are you using the stock master cylinder? If so are you happy with the stock one? I ask because I thought about using a on frame universal master cylinder, but I think it the trans cross-member will be in the way. So I'm thinking stay with stock master???
Definitely don't want to use stock master I would think. Even if not power, manual dual pot will work fine for a cruiser .
My two cents
