What are your winter plans for cars if stilll under construction?
1) 7qt oil pan if I can put the pickup tube in while in car.
2) Pull dash, put in new fuel gauge and replace dash pad.
3) Maybe start bodywork... Gotta get a good spray gun and lots of expensive chemicals first.
I’m going to try something I’ve never done before and rebuild an automatic transmission. It’s a 46re(think 727 with OD that electronically controlled) out of a 2000 van. Putting a shift kit In it too, but I’ve done that before. It doesn’t look to bad, I’ve watched some YouTube videos about how to do it.
theman440 is the one to ask about slush box rebuilds..
I have a couple grill guards to build for customers. They are a copy of my `58 Power wagon I sell.
Then rebuild Max exhaust so drive shaft loop Mike gave me will fit. But that might go on back burner since we have a overdrive option in the works that will tie car up for a while its winter.
That's it so far.
Mine now includes pulling the exhaust, GV unit and trans so can see what's squealing when it gets warm and clutch is depressed. Sounds like you hear in South Jersey when the banjo's are playing..
Throw out bearing bad ot misaligned?
Crying for mercy?
think it's bad.. too much HP for it..
Getting the brakes repaired! Old master cylinder is replaced. Upon brake bleeding, I noticed fluid running out of brake drum and not the loosened nipple, so next will be the wheel cylinder.
Lets hope it's just the wheel cylinder and not axle grease coming from a leaky axle seal..
Love the coke sign on your website!
