New here.

Just bought a '65 Coronet 500 project. Minus motor and transmission I intend to drive it next spring.

Not a restoration... more like a resurrection.

Originally a 273/904 car it will come back from the dead with an 80's 318 with a 340 cam, factory 340 intake a new timing set and a few new gaskets.

Plus an 833 trans.

Going to patch the floor, fix some bad bondo work and buff the 58 year old paint. Might spring for a headliner and a little upholstering.

I'm too old to restore it...I will never live long enough to finish it.

I was Mopar dealer wrench from '68 until '72. MO
Welcome to the forum! Got any pics of the car? Friend has a '65 500 with similar motor, it got some snot to it, but it's got a slush box in it.
Welcome to the site! Good to see another 65 owner here. Lots of good people here, not as busy here as other sites but that’s a good thing believe me. Post some pics of your car, we would love to see it
Welcome
I would love to hear some dealership stories
I would love to know how many "numbers matching, date coded certified by XXXX" that you've seen at shows and for sale when you've done a warranty swap on something in the drivetrain...

The motor in my car is out of a 71 "numbers matching" Challenger.. funny how it's got a 383 bore but a 400 casting number..
Welcome to the site! Lets see some pics of that cool project. Smile
