So... on a 7 1/4 the foam gasket goes behind the backing plate, on the 8 3/4 the foam gasket goes in front of the backing plate for 67, and behind on 70, and on the Dana it's a free for all?
Did I get that right? LOL
The foam gaskets are no longer available from Fel Pro. The book says to just use the metal plate.
I've run em with just metal and ones made out of gasket material and didn't have a problem with either. It's just there to keep the grease from the axle bearing from fouling up the brakes
"The foam gaskets are no longer available from Fel Pro" That is because bought them all , I didn't understand why she bought so many even thought we use allot. She said they were going to discontinue soon. Rock auto had a close out deal.
If you run green bearings, you don't even need the gasket, it's only for the greasable OEM ones
O boy here we go again on the GB thing

i have 2 cars with them and one without. I’m pretty sure the one without needs new bearings. So should I go with Edelbrock or Holley?

The REAL question is if it's correct to use a CHROME horn button cap with a 66 and 67 Coronet wood grain steering wheel or a PADDED horn cap?

if your car was built on a Monday or Friday then yes. Any other day of the week then no. This only applies to day shift night shift, anything goes.
