While I absolutely love the full manual reverse shift pattern automatic transmission in my 66 500, it has the floor mounted shifter. I don't think that I'd enjoy that same set up with the column mounter shifter, so I can see your desire to return that to the original factory set up Rich.
I sure agree with Andy, that is a FANTASTIC looking car indeed! I am not

Manual valve body in Rich's also, oops I missed that part. No kick down issues then I bet.
Thanks Richard and Andy, I do have a 4 Spd car I can take out to satisfy my shifting desires.
I absolutely love ALL of the 1966 and 1967 Coronets no matter which body style or drivetrain they might have!

Lookin good; was hoping to see you at Carlisle but there's been a change in plans and I won't make it down at all.
Sorry that we'll miss. Next year hopefully?
So here's a cool pic. This is my good friend Gil from Hawaii, who I bought the 66 from taking a selfie in Jim's 67 500 vert with me following in his former car entering Carlisle.
Did I say all that correctly? LOL
