Standard bore, dated 9-28-67, stamped D440 10-27HP. Correct for an early to mid-68 car.
Any ideas on value?
I will take a stab at it. You need to find the right buyer. My guess is $200 - $500 depending on condition and how badly someone wants a 68 HP block.

Its still not that hard to find non - HP long block core for $300 - $400. I sold a 76 440 long block not too long ago in good condition for $280 and it was on/off craigslist for about 2 years.
If no damage and main caps in place , $1,000 around here . Most restamped and we know how to tell, but if real . $1,000 , I am looking for one for a '68 R/T Charger for a customer so let me know if real deal. Lots of pics .
