I used a halogaurd from summit racing. Never used one before but it was clean. None of that white powder stuff getting all over and it worked instantly.

Glad to hear that you're fine. Have a fire extinguisher but on my Wrangler. I will buy one for my car also.

I've had to use one in the past on my 1970 Challenger R/T. Lucky it happened in the garage and not while driving. Same thing though, mechanical fuel pump (had a crack at the inlet nipple).
