I ordered a engine harness from classic industries for a customer Challenger and it was a MH , I was happy to see that. Fit nice too.
Ok then Mark, I suppose that we will all have to pay the usual Year One mark up and ridiculous shipping fees to get one of these M&H harnesses. I am NOT a fan of Year One, but the M&H wiring harnesses are still the best Mopar harnesses on the market, so one has to do what one has to do to purchase one I guess. black eye

Let me give you some Ebay links for the 1966 Coronet Factory Service Manuals in both a CD format and also in a printed book format so that you can choose the best option for your needs. These Ebay links are for a retailer that is licensed by Chrysler to reproduce and sell these manuals and that I've done business with many times over the years. I will also give you a link to another Ebay seller that I've done business with that offers all of the various Mopar wiring diagrams in a laminated page format so that you can take them out in the garage while you're working on the car and not have to worry about getting them dirty.

Thank you very much for the information Richard, by far the wealth of information you posses astounds me, definitely one of the go to guys on here for help. Thank you for complementing Darlene appreciate it hopefully one day she'll look like your ride, little by little though mechanics before cosmetics :o. As far as the manuals I've never found Coronet only manuals I would check at local mopar meets but they would always be the shop manual that contained Coronet, Polara and another vehicle, forgot witch one if I recall correctly. I know it may sound picky and hard headed of me but I only wanted the Coronet only shop manual haha (I was younger at the time and failed to realize this manual would be suffice). Glad to see there's other options thank you for the links. Indeed as Markz posted I noticed that we can't buy Mopar wiring direct from them, however it doesn't hurt to ask I'll phone M&H tomorrow and ask them about the harnesses doesn't hurt to ask

Absolutely and it's even more challenging when you own a pre 1968 model Mopar.

Regarding the Factory Service Manual, I think that you will really be amazed about how much is covered in that manual. I have been preaching for many years that a Factory Service Manual is the very first thing that everybody should purchased after they've brought home a new vintage car. Those laminated wiring diagrams are also very helpful out in the garage when you're working on the cars wiring as well. Wink

Make it a C body to boot.............. (65 Fury 2 door cop car I am finishing)
Yes sir, if you own most any pre 1968 B-Body car, most any 1972-74 B-Body car, or most any C-Body car, the aftermarket Mopar reproduction parts suppliers don't have much to offer.

On another related subject regarding parts for older vintage Mopars, has anybody else besides me noticed that Fiat / Chrysler has almost eliminated the Mopar Performance Parts line for our older Mopars? In the past year or so, I've tried to purchase Mopar Performance parts for my 66 Coronet and my sons 72 Dart Swinger including engine paint, chrome ECU boxes, 4 pin ballast resisters, 727 and 904 transmission pan gaskets and several other parts and none of those parts have been available through any dealer nationwide or at the parts warehouses. They either show not being available at all, or show to be on back order with no projected date for becoming available and my long time friend that works at one of our local Mopar dealerships says that he has seen this coming for awhile now since Fiat has taken over the controls. The MP line of parts for the newer Muscle cars are no problem, just the parts for our older cars. This is NOT good news folks.

Anybody else had this happen to them?

Apologies for the late response Richard, so good news I managed to purchase the rear tail light harness (it's a start) from Year One with a 35% discount. Beavis Also picked up a shop manual, and best of all the seller you recommended is located in the same area as me. Thank you once more Richard for your help, I'll keep you guys posted, also going to pick up that laminated wiring harness manual.

Why would they do this, I know there is not many classic Mopars out there (well at least in my area) as say Chebby's and Ferds. This indeed is scary as I presume the cost if and when they do pop up will see an inflation in price due to them becoming scarce/ less production???? This is scary I finally have the means to put money in Darlene and having extra trouble with locating parts........NOT WHAT I NEED at the moment.

You are very welcome!

Did you purchase the Factory Service Manual in a CD format, a printed book format, or both formats like I do! Big Grin

I think that you will also really like the laminated wiring diagrams, as they are very durable and are printed in color which make them easier to read. I would highly recommend that you contact the seller of those diagrams before you purchase them and ask them for all of the various diagrams that they offer for the 66 Coronets and also let him know that you own a sedan model. I bought these laminated diagrams for my 66 Coronet 500 hardtop several years ago and I believe that they offer several different pages of diagrams for our 66 Coronet models.

Good to hear that you were able to save some money at Year One. Hopefully they won't make that savins back from you via their shipping charges. Please let us know how you and Darlene like your new M&H rear tail light harness ok?
