Does anyone know if the DODGE on the 67 440 trunk trim panel are the same as the ones on the trunk above the trim panel on an 67 R/T?

They are not!

They look the same, but the back side of the 440 "dodge" is in a v shape to contour around the trim piece.

The 500/RT letters are flat on the backside.

Hopefully I will have the 500/RT letters done soon. Currently the masters are in machinists purgatory. I haven't been able to get them out for a couple of months.

ws27, thanks! I had a feeling that was the case. So you are having a machinist use originals to fabricate new ones? If so, what would they charge for another set?

I have trying to produce both the front and read letters for the 500/RT. It's been over two years and I they got into a snafu this summer.

I had a friend/machinist that I trust try to resize the pins on the masters that I have. He first procrastinated, then got sick, then got into a bad accident, then got sick again, and now is under some sort of doctors orders that gets him mad if I ask what's up. He's a great friend, so I've been treading very lightly.

This has caused a big delay on the release of these.

ws27, I am sorry to hear about your best friend. I hope things work out. If you are able to get them going I would definately be interested in a set of both. I read the other posts and it was very interesting, the process and legal discussions. I manufacture tool kits for the military and work with machinists frequently, as well we use 3D design software to fabricate our kits, so I always find things like this very interesting and have been contemplating having some part made. I would interested in talking with you about the full process if you would be willing and have some time. And by the way those letters look georgeous!

If you get stuck and need help with the pins I would be happy to help. I have pretty good machine shop capability.

Markz, you live right down the road from my Grandmother. She lives in Blue Ash. My mom's side of the family grew up in and around Kenwood and Milford, and My grandfather owned Tom's Choice Meats in Silverton before he passed. I have been through Milford many times.

Thanks, I may take you up on that offer. First I need to get them back from him. He was also going to recommend another machinist near by. I'll keep you posted.
