Hi i have a 1969 superbee clone and was trying to figure out a few things.

It has a fibreglass hood on it. It has hinges and 2 clips at the front. The previous owner said it is an orignal hood, i didnt think they came out with hinges and i didnt think Coronet 500's came out with fibreglass hoods.
It has a 440 6 pack in it but i would like to get the cold air system hooked up. Would like to know where to buy it. I have found plenty of places that sell the ramcharger for the hood with 2 vents but none for the 440 six pack hood.
9046] thats the car
Is there a box out on the underside of the hood? If not then it is not original. If it was original it would NOT have hinges on the rear. The hood would have 4 hood pins that had black plastic coated lanyards with huge cotter pins attached. It is probably made by stinger fiberglass or a cheaper one.
Yeah thats what i thought.
Where would i get the box for underneath?
I do not think you will be able to put the standard Ramcharger box underneath that hood. Where will it attach and why would you want to drill holes in the fiberglass?

If you want the regular 69 air box, you'll need to find a 69 steel hood.

The A12 lift off hood, like this one, just sat there but sealed to the top of the air cleaner.

Exactly!

69Coronetrt is correct. This type of A12 hood, with or without hinges, NEVER had a Ramcharger Airbox from the factory. And factory A12 hoods did NOT have hinges. Only the steel hoods with dual air scoops had the Ramcharger setup on the underside.
Yeah sorry, pretty new at these so dont fully know all the specs of the cars. Wasnt sure if the hinged hood had a ramcharger set up
Unfortunately the six pack hoods that are reproduced do not have the air box incorporated in them. I did talk to the guys at stinger about this and they did tell me they are looking to add these to their already well made six pack hoods. Which kind of suck for me because I already have one of their hoods! and if your looking for the proper hood pin sets with the proper pins and lanyards dales custom cuda shop sells the kit.
Yea Killerbee it's looks nasty man love it

Actually on a real A12 hood it has a box out (not like a ram air box) that surrounded the air cleaner base plate. None of the fiberglass companies have this yet. I will post a pic.9147]
the red circled area is what the fiberglass hoods made now do not have. It is open to the engine bay and does not seal off the air cleaner.
If anyone know a company that makes them the right way please let me know!
