Oh yes, I would buy it for that price, you could just send the block out and see if it's still good, maybe at some point, put it back in it's original nesting place. Do you mean Dana 60 instead of a Detroit Locker?

Still catching up on the rear end, but previous owner blew out the Sure Grip and it was replaced with a Detroit locker. (?) That's what I was told.

That sure is a cool color and different too! I'm sure you won't see another one that color at any cruz inns or shows. As for the block, if you have space for it, get it, stroker kits are getting less expensive and you never know. even if you sell the car down the road it's a selling point.

Just a FYI, VIN stamping didn't happen until 1968 model year, so there's no way to know for sure that the block being offered came with the car originally. All you'll know is the block was cast within a time period that could have been installed in the car.

..and I always look at the machine date on the front pad, it does give a clue.
