Very cool Rich and you my friend have saved a very nicely optioned car from an unknown fate!
By the way, were you able to purchase one of the Canadian made fuel tanks for your Coronet yet?
Richard
No I haven't purchased the tank yet. Still looking into distributers to make sure i get the Canadian made tank. I did purchase all the other components. Fuel line, pad, sending unit and hoses etc. Getting there slowly. Getting all that undercoating off is a mess. And time consuming.
Rich
Amen Rich, I did that time consuming job on a Hemi powered '70 Cuda race car many years ago. By the time that I had scraped off all of the undercoating with a scraper and a butane torch to heat it up to remove it, it seemed like I had scraped the entire hull of the Queen Mary luxury liner!
When you purchased your new fuel lines and fuel tank mounted sending unit, did you upgrade to the larger 3/8" size to replace your Coronet's original 5/16" lines and sending unit? Your 440 will appreciate those larger sized fuel parts!
Regarding the Canadian produced fuel tank, please let me give you the information on one company that makes them so when you're online searching you will have the correct manufacture and part number.

Welcome to the site and back to the mopar family. Welcome Home!
Richard, thanks for the info on the tank. I have one on the way. I had already purchased a new 5/16 fuel line so I'm staying with that for now. Haven't worked on the '66 much lately. Working with a buddy to get his 1969 coronet 500 ready to take to the nationals. We bought the '69 to part it because of the rear frame rail rust. After getting it home and finding out it still had the original drive train he decided he was going to try and save it, and after 5 years of work we fired up the 383 last week for the first time. Still have to mount the new tires with the spyder wheels but here it is.8756]
Always glad to help my friend. That's a fantastic looking 69 your friend has there!

Maybe you could suggest that he join us here on the DCR?
Richard
Made some progress on the 66 after returning from the nationals. Picked up some non a/c bracketry and pulleys along with a correct TRW small power steering pump to make this low mileage 1966 440 look like it was born in here. Motor runs great, all the electrical works now its on to the brake system. Still have to put the fuel tank in after scraping and blasting the undercoating off. Not going to make it on the road this summer like I was planning. 9079]9081]9082]
