Thank you Richard, good to know. I didn't know they made the steering column cover.

I had seen somewhere that someone was repoping those.
Hello Rich and Steve,

The same Ebay seller (dodgeboy) that sells the 1967 B-Body steering column shaft covers shown above also sells the reproduction chrome trim "U" piece for the 1967 B-Body cars that fits around the top side of the steering column shaft where it passes through the dashboard as shown below. They don't have any listed on Ebay at this time, but if anybody needs one I'm sure if contacted they could sell you one.

In case anybody is wondering, these steering column shaft covers and chrome trim parts are specific to the 1967 B-Body cars and are NOT interchangeable on the 1966 B-Body cars!

This is due to the 1967 models being the first model year to use the slightly larger diameter collapsible steering column assemblies while the 1966 models were the last model year to use the slightly smaller diameter non-collapsible steering column assemblies. This change meant that Chrysler also had to make modifications to the metal dashboard shell opening where the steering column shaft assembly passes through the dashboard shell and that meant that the covers and trim pieces also had to be completely redesigned for the 1967 models.

Be careful, there are two different trim pieces for the 67s. One for sedans, and one for hart tops/verts. The difference is the overall length because sedans don't have lower dash chrome.
I agree and thank you Rich. Below are the part numbers and applications for the two different steering column trim mouldings for the various 1967 Dodge and Plymouth B-Body models.

The reproduction steering column trim moulding being sold and shown in this thread is a replacement for the original factory part number 2822 794 shown below.
