I have a 1966 and would like to know if you would be willing to sell one of your AM radios. What is in mine now says "Plymouth All Transistor" and obviously would like the Dodge version. LMK, Don

I believe that they were a dealer installed "accessory" One just sold on EBAY - I was watching it and I believe it sold for roughly $270. It looks very simillar to the AM job except it has a square shaped red button on the facia. I believe the button switches the radio between AM & FM. I had my AM radio converted to FM - the best feature about it is that you can plug your IPOD into it.
Jeff,
Look what I just found that sold on ebay for $405.00 on March 3rd, 2013! Is this the same style radio that you had seen on ebay?
It's a closed auction, so I'm not sure if the ebay link still works, but here it is anyway.

Quote:AM/FM Dodge Radio
Very rare original factory AM/FM radio that fits 1966 - 67 Dodge Coronets & 67 Dodge Chargers.
Will fit in a 66 Dodge Charger but it doesn’t have the EL lighting.
Wire ends are cut, comes with correct knobs, shows its age but not bad for 47 years old.
Tested it and radio plays fine, the push buttons work, tuning knob works, AM/FM switch works, volume switch & base work, AM and FM channels both play clear, even the light bulb lights.
The seller listed this radio as being a model number 370 with part number 2661220, but in the 1966 factory parts book, there is no model number 370 in either an AM, or AM/FM model and part number 2661220 is is a valid part number, but it's listed for an AM/FM radio model number 369, which according to the parts book, was only used on the "V" (Plymouth Valiant) and "R" (Plymouth Belvedere and Satellite) models in 1966.
In 1967, as we've already noted, there was an AM/FM radio available from the factory for the "W" (Coronet) models and it was listed as model number 370 in the 1967 factory parts book, but that radio was listed as a "deluxe AM/FM" model and had a factory part number of 2661222, so that differs from this ebay radio also.
The radio that was sold in this ebay auction clearly shows that it has a DODGE faceplate on it, so either the factory parts book has an error in it's listing for this radio, or maybe this is that "dealer only" installed radio that we've been trying to verify?
Damn, you just HAVE to love Mother Mopar and all of her "never made parts"!
Richard
The black push button knobs make me think it's from a C body. Or, judging from the condition, a body that's been under the sea.
I agree, I think you need the notch on the back to clear the heater mechanism.
If anyone wants, I can get a picture of a dash out of the car.
