I know there have been other posts on this subject but I haven't seen any with pics like the wheel studs on my Bee. I've seen wheel studs that were swaged but mine have a washer that looks like a conduit nut. Are these washers, threaded nuts, or just the way the studs were swaged?7794] Anyone know if these are pressed on or are they threaded? I'm planning on changing the brake drums and I'm just trying to figure out how to deal with these. I guess cutting 'em would be the easiest way.
Those look pressed to me? Threaded seems strange as I would think there's a possibility of the stud loosening during lug nut tightening/loosening.
Im gonna say a replacement drum will come with studs?
Your studs are swaged in place, to remove without damaging hub I recommend getting this tool and cut into old drum and swag off stud, it fits to a hand drill. Then you can tap/press the three parts apart. It is just a different style swag you have there.

Thanks for the answers, guys. Help is always appreciated. I've seen that tool, Andy. I know that Goodson makes it and it costs about $90. I guess I'll have to invest in it, if I do this. I'll ask around to see if any shops around here can do this, first.

I make my own cutters. Where are you located?
I've always used a 1/2 in hole saw with out the pilot bit. A little sloppy, but the only thing damaged is the bad drum and the stud. Just be careful not to go too far.

The hole saw should be a lot cheaper.

And use lots of oil!
