Everything works. BUT I turn on the lights, and my right blinker lamp turns on (somewhat dim) and won't flash/blink anymore. Flashers work, lights work, blinkers even work perfectly when lights are off.

AND, I have my new, modern, awesome, stereo illumination wire run into the Orange of the old stereo harness. Works great. EXCEPT when the right blinker turns on. Then the stereo's illumination flashes with the blinker.

I do believe I have a very good ground.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm also running my aftermarket gauge lights to the orange of the old stereo harness. They dim great when the lights go on. I haven't noticed them blinking to the rhythm of the blinker yet.

Please help? I'm kind of at a loss.
I had a similar problem with a brand x car i worked on earlier this year. The blinkers worked o.k. until the headlighs were on. The dash lights would blink when the right turn siginal was on if the headlights were on.
I found that someone installed a single element bulb in to a double element tail light socket. Power would feed back to all the lights in the car only when the right turn siginal was on.

Interesting! I will check that. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
Id say you have a crossed circut. Orange we know is the dimable light circut for gauges and radio. The right dash blinker indicator is Tan. This tan wire runs to the emergency flasher switch. From there it goes to the 1st flasher cube. The colors of the cube are red and black. It is possible someone tied into that red wire thinking it was orange.
Its right under the original radio. So its not out of the question. Think simple, look for tampering under under the dash.

Also grounds are everything!
