Engine is coming out. Heads (906) will be sent off to get rebuilt with hardened valve seats etc. I'm going to replace the cam and lifters too.

Here we go.
I want to keep it simple. No exotic parts. No extra machining. I want to buy a cam that works without worries.

383 B block. It's been decked once in its life.
curant cam unknown.
I assume it has 8:1 compression. (110 psi)
2:91 gear on 14 inch wheels.
stock exhaust manifolds.

906 heads with new springs. (Yet to be determined)

no power brakes. Power steering yes.

Considering the purple cam. Or the EX 262

Thanks

X2.. should be a good cam for that motor.
I have a Edlebrock TM-6 single plane that works well with what I have now, and also a cast iron "301" intake that worked okay.
So your saying the P4452783 cam?
I dug up this part number #4120235AE. Cam and lifter kit.
I looked up the differences and I see why you sent me in that direction.
The wrong cam cost twice as mush as the right one.
Thanks again.

Any advise on springs?

Thanks Again!
Stock springs should be more than sufficient for that cam.
