the data book states A/C was n/a with 383-2bbl four speed. I've never seen anything that would prevent the 383-4bbl four speed a/c combination.
I can't tell...does that look like a non A/C firewall? Maybe the A/C was the conversion.
I goofed, Rich, I forgot about the a/c, I don't think so with a 4 speed, later on, maybe!
ws27 Wrote:What does your data book say about 440 4spd and ac?
Usually it's easier to convert an AC auto to 4 spd than non ac to ac, but anything is possible.
Did you see my wagon?

440-4speed with A/C was NEVER available. There are some fake cars out there but they are not original.
383-4bbl-four speed with A/C was always available.
Thank you, I knew the 440 were not available, but didn't know the 383s were, thought it was all big blocks. Yet to see one except mine.

383-four speed A/C cars are not common but they do exist. I have some on file from 68 and later. I'm sure there were people that wanted to tow a boat on vacation and ordered odd things like a four door four speed A/C car but that would REALLY be rare.
In my mind, they are kind of a competing option.
Typically they guy that wanted a 4 speed didn't want, or couldn't afford, the A/C.
People that wanted comfort of A/C didn't want to row gears.
I've had two 383 4 speed A/C cars. A 69 RR and 70 RR. Both were from Texas. Don't have them anymore but they are still in IL to best of my knowledge.
I've seen a lot of A/C muscle cars in TX actually but hardly any up here in IL.
I also had a 68 R/T air and ralley tic-toc dash Auto car turquoise with white interior that was a TX car. Wish I still had that one.
Not `67s but here is one of two `70 Road Runners A/C and both 4-speeds and both yellow just in this town. This is Joe's and other is Steve's, Joe drives his Steve does not but I'm working on him still. Last time he drove it was when we raced each other back in the 80s, so its been parked longer than mine was now.

I've seen plenty of 68 and up, and even a couple of 66 Plymouths, but I've never seen a 67 before. That's why I asked if it was even available.

Don't forget, my world only exists in 67, ... and a very little in 66. LOL
