Some creative fabrication it will work for a allot of uses including other axles. Rotisserie for example.
Mine won't bolt up other way, the housing hits the down tube of the stand.. Most I can do is maybe loosen the bolts to lower it a little.
Andy is right about one thing.. once you loosen the lock nut or remove that pin, hang on. Unlike a motor where the weight is distributed more, this has all the weight up top, and once it' starts moving.. oh boy..
Thanks Mike, that's kinda what I thought. It looked like it might interfere if trying to bolt on the other way, but couldn't tell for sure from the photo. A guy just has to be careful when rotating I guess.
Mine must have longer tubes that the bolts go through to differential or the stand is just shaped to where it works letting mine do a full 360.

The tube the plate slides into looks like it's welded farther out from the upright than mine...

This is a cheby differential but these little brackets I made from angle iron might help the spinning of the 8 3/4 mounted from pinion bolts .
