Has anybody had any luck using a power disc brake kit. My car is the standard 4 wheel drum brakes. I destroyed the front drums removing them since they were seized on so tight (and wasn't expecting the right front wheel to have reverse thread wheel studs) just a bummer all of the kits require 15inch wheels
There nothing wrong with using a set of factory discs. For 14 inch wheels you might only be able to go with A body or Volare/Aspen ones. Don't be scared of good old Mopar parts.
The 73-76 A-body setup uses 11" rotors, and you can run 14" wheels with it. I've used both the 14" road wheels and regular wheels that came on the car with it.

However, some of the aftermarket kits that are based on the A/M-body setup are 11.75 rotors, that's why they need 15" rims.
If I pull them off of a 73-76 could I use their brake booster, master cylinder and proportioner valve
Yes, that is correct.
So I pulled the trigger and bought a disc brake kit from pirate on eBay. It's a manual disc brake kit so I hope it works out well. Anybody have any expierence with that kit?
That's the one
See above.. these should fit..
I'm really hoping they fit I don't see how they will with that tall rotor. I did find a kit from classic power brakes that supported the 14s but for 1k for basic pArts was pretty steep. I'll keep you guys updated on the fitment and installation but I opened a whole new can of worms last night pulling the axles shafts out for leaky outter seals and found no oil in the diff I'm hoping the whole rearend isn't shot but that's the gamble we take on cars that haven't moved in decades
