A1-Cardone is now offering rebuilt Pitman Arms for 65-70 Coronets with Power Steering.
You need to find out if your local parts store deals with A1-Cardone. You then give them your pitman arm, and in a few weeks get it back. If they don't deal with them. then Rock Auto will do it for you.
The part number is: 276583PA
Has anyone done this yet?
My local parts store wouldn't do it, even though it was a valid part number. According to Cardone, O'Reilly's will do it.
Can you not buy new pitman arms anymore?
I got one from Firm Feel, but it was either an old shelf stock or a rebuild.
I know Kanter's used to sell them, but the one I got from them lasted about as long as Richard can without posting a Helga shot..
I honestly don't know why you would say that Mike...........

[/URL]P.S. good information on the pitman arms!
There is a another option to the pitman arm only rebuild kit, at least for the 1965, 1966 and 1967 owners and this option also includes the following important feature.
"LIFETIME WARRANTY ON ALL INCLUDED PRODUCTS"

Funny thing, I have just changed mine with the help of my local shop and being Hungarian the mechanic said that back home they get there bushes refurbed and that they are stronger than factory. He actually called the company in Hungary asked the cost which was very cheap even with the return postage so as an experiment I am going to have my old fubbered one we took off sent away and done.......... We will see how it pans out.
Cool, let us know how that turns out.
For anyone else who needs one, Craig from atlas obsolete auto parts in Long Island still has some Moog new ones.....well he's missing a few after I passed by his space at Carlilse, but he has more...
If anyone needs his number, I can post it.
