Has anyone here done the rear disc conversion on your car?

from all the googling I've done looks like doctor diff is the best kit out there, however from a cost perspective has anyone used the SSBC, Wilwood or the Right stuff conversion kits?

Seems like some of them use different brackets (not as clean as the one I first mentioned) and it changes where the bearing rides (I have Green bearings btw)

just looking for some input/experience

Danke
I put rear Wilwood on my buddies `69 Charger and thought it felt and stopped better with the drums. I think he just did it for the looks since he has big wheels.

Now if you really had a nice set dialed in for road racing I would say 4 disc would be the way to go.
I am starting from scratch. ..if I could find someone who sold drums with backing plates (11 inch) I would most likey buy them

I figured disc would be about the same price and better braking
I have a set of 11" backing plates. But they're attached to something in the middle that is a little bit bigger...and that you were supposed to come up here and get last year.

Yeah I gotta get up there I know...Brendan is previewing on a movie in September in Norwood so I think that's when I coming up

In the mean time I just want to get this baby back on the road!
I personally would not put discs in the back. I have them (Wilwood) on the rear of my race car. Not much value and more trouble than it s worth - IMHO. The one advantage is that they have a much lower probability of locking up versus a drum brake.

Pretty sure I can set you up with a pretty nice set of 11 x 2 1/2 backing plates and drums and good hardware. I believe I have several in the back garage. I need to keep a set for the daughter's car in case I want to step up from the 10 inch she has now. Got the A body discs up front.
Went with SSBC up front and still have drums in back, stops just fine,IMHO not worth the time or trouble to change rear brakes out
Disc/drum, plenty!!
