Hey gang.
Looking for someone to look at these u-joints I put in my 67 Coronet.
They fit. There clipped on the inside.
The cups needed no tools or pressing to install. They are a lil sloppy in the bores.
The cups stick out??
I heard of small and large yoke driveshafts. Are the u-joints interchangable?
Is this right?
The other size joint is way different. What number did you use?
They shouldn't be loose. I bet if you took them off and tried a cup, it would tighten up when the end of the cap is closer to flush.
You need p/n 7260 u-joints
I don't have the box. These went in last year. I thought they were odd. But they work...

I've swapped many of those. They are used mainly on GM products..
Oh Mopars and Missles... They are 100% all the way pushed on. On both yokes to be exact...
So the clips are tight against the inside yoke? If so you might be alright.
But don't mess around. You drop a u joint u will be sorry! Have a nasty dent in the tunnel of the race car (67 Coronet 500) because years ago I installed a clip incorrectly...............
Don't be fooled that the cups are all the way in. Sometimes a roller falls off and prevents it from going all the way on and its tough to tell. Been there done that!

IMO... those are not the right u-joints. I have installed many, many u-joints and never had one appear like that after install. They should be flush fit on the outside at the very least, and no way go in easy or have any movement after installed. The clip should be flat against the inside surface... very close. If not, it can move side to side... and that is not right. From your picture there is quite a gap in between the inside surface and the clip. It will torpedo out of there the first time you get on it. For the sake of $25 bucks max per u-joint... get the correct ones.
