That car is literally a couple miles away from me. Never seen it. Traded a couple of emails with the guy but that's about it. He said it never leaves his garage. Why own it?

Beautiful car, but it's been a no sale for a while.

Hey Rich - that car DOES NOT have a molded hood insulator pad, what gives?

Now I'm treading in an era I didn't even exist in LOL. But I do believe all cars came from the factory with molded hood pads. Can anyone else help?
I suspect it was just replaced with the one you can easily ship.

The 1966 Factory Parts Book does not say that the under hood silencer pad is moulded or not, but the diagram doesn't lead me to think that they were. I'd think that the material used for these silencer pads was all the same no matter which car line and was just cut to fit each car. It also looks as if the Coronet, Charger and Belvedere models all use the same part number for the 1966 modfels, so maybe another sign that they weren't moulded? The Coronets and Chargers used the same hoods, but the Belvederes obviously did not.

Not to be argumentative, LOL, not me!
But the part numbers show it to me even more. Course this is in my mind, and you really don't want to be in my mind. Mikes' is worse, but I think I come a close second.
Richard, both lines of B-bodies have the same or at least similar hood bracing. They hood bracing will be different part numbers (if it is even separated), but the same molded hood pads fits both.
I can get pictures if you'd like.
