Hi all,
I bought my '66 in fall of '85 from the orig owner, I had known about the car for approx 3yrs before he gave in to my insisting.......he bought off of the turn table from Jerry Dragon Dodge in Ontario, Calif.
It has it's orig 361/727 combo that has never been out of the car (soon to change). Still has orig paint and interior but I did remove the torn white vinyl top and painted it black....I drove it EVERYWHERE and my wife and I honeymooned in it to Dana Point in May '89. Shortly thereafter it developed a lower end knock and I parked it in the last stall of a 3 car garage. Fast forward through 25yrs, kids and college etc and now Dad would like his car back ...lol.
Here's a pic of it on our wedding day Smile

all the best,

Hi and Welcome to the site,Ray !
Welcome Ray, some of us have a soft spot for 66 and 67s. I'd love to see pics of it now, dirty and all. What are your plans?

Thanks fellas Smile
Here's where it's been for nearly 25yrs.....protected from wayward passers-by by an accumulation of old dirtbikes, vintage go karts and just clutter...lol Smile
The plan is to excavate it this summer (gotta finish a 510 Datsun wagon for the wife beforehand) and take a look at what's needed......it did need a complete front end rebuild back when and I always wanted to do a front disc swap but there were no how-to's like nowadays.... there is two very minor dings on the driver's side quarter and a slightly tweeked front bumper mount if I remember correctly. I plan to pull the orig 361/727 for a warmed 383/727....a set of 15in American Racing Torquer's are going on there...keep the highway gears since we will be driving this a lot...I'd like to keep it the same color but may lose out in the end..haha.
Basically it will get a freshening up and be used for local car shows and cruises, just enjoying it.

Welcome to the site Ray. Judging from the garage pic, the last 25 years looked to be fun filled.
I am glad to see you hung on to it all these years. Please keep us up to date with the progress.

Welcome to the DCR, Ray!! In the pic she's saying, "No, No, don't sell the car"!!!!!!
A keeper for sure Ray welcome, and thanks for the special pics.

I'd like to get those bikes in the garage Smile
Welcome to the site! I think 25 years is long enough. It's time to have fun. The 510 would also be fun! I have a friend that used to race them and he had several including a very cool wagon he drove daily (I believe it was a 2 door wagon??).
