ok...soo....I have a 67 coronet 500. Currently it has "period correct" 14" chrome magnum wheels. not in the greatest shape, so I want to change my wheels out... the past few years I have been into the bigger wheels...but not TOO BIG...my last belvedere I had 17's on it and loved it...but I stayed with a wheel that looked similar to a period correct wheel...
My dad is old school...he has a 64 belvedere, 62 dodge...both he races and shows...and there all fat tire in rear, skinny tire in front....he is a cragar kinda guy. He hates the black steel wheel look, always has...which is strange to me cause I love that look.

I want my car to be different but I want it to look period correct also....so im torn on which direction to go with this car. So lets discuss what you all like, don't like, would love to have etc...
Pictures of your cars with wheels and tires combo is greatly encouraged.

So here is my old car I sold a couple of years ago:

66 belvedere mostly original 318 poly....
17x7's in front, 17x8's in rear and car lowered considerably...
3614

here is my current car now:
67 coronet 500 mostly original 273 V8
14's chrome magnum's with new tires...
3615

I plan on to big block my coronet in near future with a aluminum headed 383 or a stout 440...
so wheels and tires need to go with the big block ground pounding attitude...

either way lets discuss wheels and tires. show pics, show your car, someone elses...etc.
for the record these are my dads two cars he races now....
These particular pictures I was driving though Wink

ok is there another wheel tire thread I don't know about???
I vote for the same look as your Belvedere. It really is a great stance for the car. I know my car is last gen. but here is a picture with 17" X 8" old school 5-spoke. (I let my Godson drive as a graduation day treat... what a cheesy-grin)

I really like the 17" set up . Can you tell us what offset was used and what do you think the wided tire you could have used without giving any problems ? Thanks . BooBoo
like those 17s, how much was the belvy lowered?
I ran 235/50/15 tires Chrysler 82 Cordoba 15x7 wheels with 68-69 Polara/Monaco mag wheel covers on my 67, and loved the look.
Here is a picture of the covers.

here is what mine ended up looking like...
I went with 17'x7's in front, 17x8's in rear...

I still want some old steel wheels and police caps for a plan B lol...
