Could you please explain the steps needed to allow members to add a poll to their threads? It's probably just me, but I can't seem to be able to figure out how this process is done.

At the bottom of the page when you post a message, there is Additional Options. Toward the bottom is a section called POST A POLL. Put a check in the box, select how many items you want people to vote on and click on Submit New Thread. it'll then ask you to fill in the blanks and you're done.
